1. Clean around the inserted area with alcohol Swab. 2. Do not reuse infusion set. 3. Make sure that infusion set is not contaminated before insertion. 4. When exchanging infusion set, clean around the infusion site after taking off the used infusion set./td> 5. Keep dry the area where you have inserted the infusion set. 6. If you experience some skin irritation or sclerosis of the infusion site, change infusion set and infusion site. Don¡¯t forget to wash your hands before the changing. Insert Infusion Set 1. Before inserting an infusion set, clean the infusion site (insertion area) with alcohol. 2. Holding around the infusion site with hand, gently insert the needle. 3. Put medical tape on the infusion site. The most common place where the infusion set is placed is beneath the skin in the abdomen. Avoid the area within 5cm from the navel, or the belt area. Avoid skin areas where you might inject into muscle instead of subcutaneous fat. You must change the infusion site every time you insert the needle. Remove Infusion Set 1. First, remove the medical tape, then take needle out of skin. 2. Clean the infusion site with alcohol. 3. Take the infusion set out of the pump. 4. Remove the old syringe from the pump.
